This year, once again our dear Lorena has had the great idea of publishing a second book of 70 Stories to think about (or not):
Anthology of short stories from 1st and 2nd year Baccalaureate students at IES Tablero in Gran Canaria and also with
the participation of the evening Baccalaureate class of the IES Joaquín Artiles. So, if you feel like reading,
what better way than to bring a solidarity book. And for foreigners who want to learn our language,
these stories are short and easy to understand, an easy way to learn our language little by little.
In this edition, we meet some beings who are not afraid to express what they think and feel with a touch of irony and humour. They are transparent, eloquent and without any shame; their greatest characteristic is the ability to enjoy the little moments, no matter how serious it’s require. Hedonists or rationalists? Indeed, they are among the first option; but what would life be without those doses of madness and humility, which sometimes make us come down from that fateful cloud of righteousness and sacrifice without pause. Federico García Lorca’s father paid for him to stay in New York so that he could learn the language. Once there, how many English classes did Federico attend? Two clases. Instead, he spent nine months writing, meeting great personalities, performing his work in theatres from city to city, and making himself known throughout practically the entire American continent. And for that reason, today, Lorca is who he is. Don’t be afraid to express who you are.
Second volume of stories edited by Lorena Alemán who is a Language and Literature teacher at the IES Tablero I (Aguañac), in Maspalomas, and a trainee teacher at the IES Joaquín Artiles, Agüimes (Gran Canaria). The benefits obtained from the sale of this collection will go to the Anahi Animal Protection Society in Gran Canaria, for the absolute rejection of animal abuse which fights for animal rights, welfare and respect.
